Privacy notice
Information collected
FCFW may collect information you provide, submitted files, account/session information when applicable, request metadata such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, timestamps, security and anti-abuse signals, and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate the Project, respond to inquiries and legal submissions, preserve evidence and integrity records, secure the service, prevent abuse, process files through OCR/transcription/indexing/AI or forensic workflows, comply with lawful obligations, and maintain auditable administrative records.
Public versus private material
Material is not made public merely because it was sent through the legal intake form. Other FCFW submission surfaces may permit a submitter or administrator to designate files public; those surfaces state that choice separately. Legal-intake attachments remain protected unless an authorized administrator intentionally changes their visibility under an applicable workflow.
Retention and integrity
Legal, evidence, security, audit, hash, and provenance records may be retained as reasonably necessary to preserve the integrity of the Project, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, or meet legal obligations. SHA-256 values and event-chain metadata may survive changes in ordinary display state where needed for integrity and audit purposes.
Third parties
FCFW may use infrastructure or service providers necessary to host, transmit, secure, or process data. Information may also be disclosed when required by valid law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or with the direction or consent of an authorized user.
Security
No online system can guarantee absolute security. FCFW uses technical and organizational controls intended to limit unauthorized access and preserve provenance, but users should avoid submitting material they are not authorized to provide.
Terms of use
Permitted use
Use the service lawfully and in a manner that does not interfere with other users, overload the platform, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate others, or submit material you have no right to provide.
No legal representation or legal advice
Use of FCFW, including its legal intake channel, does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not constitute legal advice. Users remain responsible for complying with court rules, statutes, deadlines, service requirements, preservation duties, and other legal obligations.
No service of process
Unless FCFW expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written instrument signed by an authorized person, no website form, upload, email generated by the platform, automated receipt, dashboard alert, or other electronic intake event constitutes service of process, acceptance of service, waiver, consent to jurisdiction, or appointment of an agent for service.
Submitted content
You represent that you are authorized to provide submitted content. You retain responsibility for its accuracy, legality, and any rights implicated by its submission. FCFW may preserve, hash, index, analyze, moderate, restrict, or remove material as reasonably necessary for platform operation, evidence integrity, legal compliance, security, or abuse prevention.
Availability
The service is provided subject to maintenance, outages, resource limits, security controls, and changes in functionality. FCFW does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent publication, or that any submission will receive a particular response.
Reservation of rights
All rights, claims, defenses, privileges, immunities, objections, and remedies not expressly waived in a signed written instrument are reserved.
